From June 7 to 10, 2023, Associate Professor PhD Mario Katić participated in the 16th International SIEF Conference held at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic, with a submission titled "The relational aspects of maritime pilgrimage to Madonna of the Rock in Montenegro as a way to transcend political crisis."

Project associates, Adriana Pojatina and Mario Katic, participated at the 17th EASA (European Association of Social Anthropologist) scientific conference entitled "Transformation, Hope and the Commons". The conference was held at the School of History, Anthropology, Philosophy and Politics, Queen's University Belfast, between 26th and 29th July, 2022. They participated on Pilgrimage Studies Network panel entitled "The Transformation of Pilgrimage Studies: Moving Beyond Dominant Paradigm". Adriana Pojatina presented the submission entitled "Pilgrimage to the Madonna of Snow on the Island Ugljan (Croatia) and the Pandemic - Impacts, Transformations and Methodological Challenges", while Mario Katić presented submission entitled "Adriatic Maritime Pilgrimages and Natural Features of Seascape".

Petra Valovičić participated at the European Association for the Study of Religions conference with the theme of Religions and States of Freedom. She presented a paper titled " Just wait until they start to sing. Singing on pilgrimage to Piškera". The conference was held in Cork at the University College Cork from 27th June to 1st July 2022.

PhD student Petra Valovičić participated in the 18th "Islands of the World" conference entitled "Islands: Nature and Culture". She presented a paper titled "Is someone in a hurry to get home? Researching temporality through the religious practices of Sali, Dugi otok". The conference was held in Zadar from 13th to 17th June 2022, and it was organized by ISISA (International Small Islands Studies Association) and University of Zadar.

Mario Katić participated in a conference titled "New Approaches to ReEnchanting Central and Eastern Europe". He presented a paper titled "Adriatic Maritime Pilgrimages and the Re-Enchantment". The conference was held in Budapest on 7th and 8th April 2022, and it was organized by the Institute for Theoretical Studies of the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design of Budapest (MOME), and The 'Re-Enchantment of Central and Eastern Europe' Research Project (Re-Ench-Eu) at Charles University in Prague in cooperation with the Hungarian Cultural Anthropology Association (MAKAT) and the SIEF Ethnology of Religion Working Group.

Associate professor, PhD Mario Katić, assistant professor, PhD Mirela Hrovatin and PhD student Adriana Pojatina participated in the meeting "Maritime culture of the Zadar region in the past, present and future". The meeting was held on October 7th in the organization of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts - Institute of Historical Sciences HAZU in Zadar and Zadar County - Department for Maritime Affairs, Sea and Transport. The presentation entitled "Maritime Pilgrimages of Zadar County as Intangible Cultural Heritage" updated the work of our project with the aim of publishing the work as part of the planned collection of works.
